Several years ago, we did a cruise around the British Isles and at the conclusion of the cruise we stayed for three days in Bath. During the three days, we spent a day exploring Bath and another day in the Cotswolds. We also spent a day at Stonehenge and Avebury (see my blog from June 16, 2014 – Ancient Mysteries of the UK & the related video slideshow). Continue reading »

Costa Rica – Pura Vida

Several weeks ago, I had the opportunity to spend  7 days in Costa Rica, a country of volcanoes, rain forests, beaches and rivers.  There are a variety of activities to pursue including zip-lining, surfing, sport fishing, and eco tourism.  While not specifically a photography tour, my goal was to take some  pictures of the biodiversity (i.e. # of plants & critters) that live there as well as get a good overview of the country.  I went on a guided tour with Tauck, who I have traveled with before. They do a first class job and  this trip was no exception. Continue reading »
