About a year ago, I published the first blog post on my website titled   ” lo amo Roma”. It was a collection of thoughts and images of one of my all time favorite cities. Since that time, I have retired from the work world and have pursued two things I enjoy very much which are traveling and photography. The website seemed a good fit with those objectives. Looking back, I am pleased (and surprised ) with the site considering that in December of 2013, it did not exist and the fact that it was a do it yourself project. Since that time I have made 28 additional posts on my travels and experiences. Yellowstone in Winter

In January we did a Winter tour of Yellowstone National Park. It is possible to do this tour DIY but there are a number of logistic challenges that have to be taken care of, so we opted to go with an organized tour with Tauck. This was our third tour with Tauck and, for the third time, we were not disappointed. They provide some great extras. On our trip we had a presentation by Bob Landis, wildlife cinematographer and viewed  some of his latest wolf pictures, had a full day tour through the Lamar Valley with a naturalist from the Yellowstone Association Institute, and stopped at the gallery/home of wildlife photographer Dan Hartman who lives just outside the NE entrance to the park.
